OpenTrain AI, Inc. is recruiting contractors for a four-week remote engagement to support AI agent infrastructure and training data development.

You will build Python backend applications that replicate tools like Slack, Jira, Notion, Gmail, and wikis, and develop realistic long-horizon tasks with evaluation rubrics. This role offers freelance, remote work with milestones and daily deliverables.

Qualifications

• Three years of backend development experience with strong Python proficiency.
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django, plus scalable backends.
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices, Git, and Docker.
• Daily use of AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot.
• Ability to assess technical correctness and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Build Python backend applications that replicate tools and workflows.
• Extend connectors and test fidelity to emulated systems.
• Mine data and workflows to develop realistic long-horizon tasks.
• Write evaluation rubrics to differentiate correct, partially correct, and deficient work.
• Use AI coding assistants during development, QA, and validation.
• Participate in calibration and quality reviews against milestones.
