Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Pursuit Project Manager to drive the successful execution of complex business development opportunities and RFP responses. You will lead cross-functional pursuit teams, manage integrated project plans, and track milestones and risks, using AI-enabled tools to improve visibility and execution.

Remote work is available, with responsibility to mentor junior staff and contribute to governance improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 7+ years of professional experience.
• Hands-on management of complex pursuits, proposals, or deadline-driven projects with multiple workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Lead pursuit teams to execute actions and deliverables aligned to opportunity timelines and RFP requirements.
• Create and manage integrated project plans, milestone schedules, dependencies, decision points, and readiness calendars.
• Track action ownership, due dates, statuses, risks, issues, and leadership follow-ups.
• Manage risk, issues, and action-item logs; propose clear options and next steps to accelerate decisions.
• Coordinate across operations, IT, pricing, HR, finance, sales, and proposal resources to maintain schedule adherence.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools to streamline status reporting, meeting-note synthesis, action extraction, and risk visibility.
• Mentor junior staff and ensure governance materials are clear and complete.
