Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Pursuit Project Manager to drive complex business development opportunities and RFP responses. You will lead cross-functional pursuit teams, develop integrated project plans, track milestones and risks, and facilitate decision-making to ensure on-time delivery.

The role leverages AI-enabled tools for status reporting and notes, with opportunities to mentor junior staff and contribute to governance practices. Fully remote work with a home office is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 7+ years of experience or equivalent combination is required.
• Hands-on management of complex pursuits, proposals, or other deadline-driven projects with multiple workstreams and governance routines.
• Strong cross-functional coordination across operations, IT, pricing, HR, finance, sales, and leadership stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead pursuit teams to execute actions and deliverables aligned to opportunity timelines and RFP requirements.
• Create and manage integrated project plans, milestone schedules, dependencies, decision checkpoints, and readiness calendars.
• Track action ownership, due dates, completion status, risks, issues, open decisions, and leadership follow-ups.
• Coordinate and negotiate across departments to maintain schedule adherence.
• Use approved AI-enabled tools and automation for status reporting, notes, and risk visibility.
• Mentor junior staff and ensure clarity and follow-through of governance materials.
