Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Purchasing Planner to optimize capacity across supplier sites and planning horizons. This role collaborates with demand planning, factory, supply and finance teams to align strategies with business objectives and mitigate under/overutilized capacity.

Responsibilities include maintaining capacity models, updating ERP systems, and driving proactive capacity constraint improvements. Travel up to 25% domestically and internationally is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing / supply chain.
• 2+ years of experience specifically in material planning / scheduling function.
• Proven capability with materials management disciplines including S&OP.
• 25% travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Manage creation and maintenance of purchasing capacity models for all key constraints within the segment while aligning to the targets of the business.
• Keep ERP systems and tools up to date and accurate to the current purchasing capacity.
• Partner with the demand planning, factory, supply and finance teams to facilitate crossfunctional alignment through transparent discussion and decisions.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and local and global supply teams to support execution and proactively optimize capacity constraints for business objectives.
• Demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals/programs/processes for a purchasing planning segment.
