Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Purchasing Planner to optimize capacity across supplier sites and support segment objectives. The role involves capacity modeling, cross-functional collaboration, and proactive mitigation of under- or overutilized capacity.

Responsibilities include maintaining capacity models, aligning ERP data, and working with demand planning, factory, supply, and finance teams to drive effective decision-making. Travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing / supply chain.
• 2+ years of experience specifically in material planning / scheduling function.
• APICS certifications (CPIM and/or CSCP) preferred.
• Experience with S&OP and ERP systems (e.g., SAP PMx, Baan, Oracle).

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain purchasing capacity models for key constraints.
• Keep ERP systems up to date with current purchasing capacity.
• Collaborate with demand planning, factory, supply and finance teams for crossfunctional alignment.
• Manage supplier relationships to optimize capacity constraints.
• Communicate business goals and processes for the purchasing planning segment.
