SME Careers is seeking a Punjabi Quality Assurance Lead (QAL) for an hourly remote contractor role. You will oversee quality across Punjabi AI training projects, review AI-generated content, and provide precise feedback to trainers and QAs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics required.
• Native or near-native Punjabi proficiency with strong reading/writing skills.
• Strong English to follow guidelines and provide feedback in English.
• 3+ years in Punjabi writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, or related workflows.
• Knowledge of Punjabi grammar, spelling, tone, and cultural context.
• Ability to read/write Gurmukhi and/or Shahmukhi scripts.

Responsibilities

• Quality monitoring: spot-check Punjabi items and provide feedback.
• Trainer/QA communication: update team on guidelines and changes.
• Answer questions on Punjabi wording, register, and cultural context.
• Activation management: engage inactive contributors and track follow-ups.
• Documentation: create Punjabi project docs, style guides, FAQs, and onboarding materials.
• Onboarding and training: run sessions to explain expectations and rubrics.
• Quality alignment: ensure consistency with language guidelines across projects.
• Process improvement: identify gaps and propose scalable QA workflows.
