Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking a Pulmonary Nurse Practitioner to oversee the Pulmonary Program across five facilities in Fresno, California. The NP will diagnose and manage respiratory disorders, provide comprehensive pulmonary care, and conduct monthly facility reviews to optimize patient outcomes.

This role requires CA NP license, board certification, DEA registration, and ability to work autonomously within a team, with up to 10% travel to facilities locally.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted RN and NP licenses in California.
• Board certified by ANCC or AANP.
• Current and unrestricted DEA certificate.
• Ability to work without direct supervision and practice autonomously.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with patients, families and colleagues.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA and regulatory requirements.
• 2+ years NP experience in inpatient or outpatient pulmonology.
• Strong background in assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of pulmonology diseases.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage respiratory disorders and provide comprehensive pulmonary care.
• Review Pulmonary Program caseload at each facility monthly; assess needs and interventions to reduce hospitalizations.
• Travel up to 10% among five facilities; visit each facility monthly.
• Remain accessible by phone during business hours Monday–Friday.
