Job summary

American Physical Society is seeking a Publications Account Executive for the West U.S. and LATAM. The role is remote-first and reports to the Publications Sales Manager. You will manage institutional accounts, drive renewals and new sales, and grow APS revenue across libraries, corporates, and government sectors.

The ideal candidate has seven years in scholarly publications sales, strong CRM skills, and travel up to 20% to support regional plans and client meetings across the Americas.

Qualifications

• Minimum seven years of institutional sales and licensing in scholarly publications or similar
• Advanced data analysis and CRM proficiency
• Experience in Western U.S. and LATAM regions
• Experience supporting territory sales agents
• Knowledge of scholarly communication and academic library markets
• Strong understanding of Open Access trends
• Excellent negotiations and relationship-building skills
• Able to travel up to 20% of the time

Responsibilities

• Strategic revenue generation: build plans to hit renewals, new sales, and OA agreements
• Customer relations: provide pricing guidance and procurement support, train customers
• Collaboration: align pricing/licensing with APS policies and document interactions in Salesforce
• Market presence: attend meetings and conferences to build regional relationships and APS brand visibility
