Job summary

Washington State Department of Commerce seeks a Project Manager (COM 3) to provide professional financial and technical assistance to Washington's local governments and tribal nations, developing, negotiating, and monitoring the Public Works Board programs as part of the LGD team.

Qualifications

• Five years of combined experience and/or education as described in the qualifications.
• Education involves natural resources, business, public administration, urban or regional planning, accounting or related field.
• Proven ability to handle project management, contract management, financing and public works responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional level financial and technical assistance to Washington's communities and implement the Public Works Board’s annual workplan.
• Develop, negotiate, and monitor the technical aspects of PWB’s programs utilized by local governments, elected officials, private entities, citizenry, technical experts, federal and state governmental program staff, as well as tribal nations.
• Collaborate with local governments, tribes, and stakeholders to support infrastructure financing and grant administration.
