Job summary

The CDC Foundation seeks a Communications Program Manager to support Massachusetts Department of Public Health’s Office of Healthcare Strategy and Planning. You will create and manage internal and external communications about programs, data, and successes in a remote setting.

Ideal candidate has a public health background, 5–7 years in project management, excellent communication skills, and strong MS Office/SharePoint proficiency to support a comprehensive healthcare delivery system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public health or related field.
• 5–7 years’ experience in project management.
• Understanding of public health and healthcare delivery systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Experience with project management methodologies and tools; resource management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; SharePoint experience; familiarity with communication tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and report on project status and safety of project initiatives.
• Develop and implement robust online presence for OHSP in collaboration with DPH Communications.
• Represent OHSP at recruitment, conferences, and professional events.
• Develop and maintain OHSP distribution lists by topic area and project.
• Establish and implement project management processes to ensure timely, on-budget delivery with high quality.
• Assemble project plans, assign tasks, monitor progress, and escalate issues.
• Track milestones and adjust plans/resources to meet stakeholder needs.
• Coordinate communications across Enterprise areas impacting scope, budget, risk, and resources.
• Manage cross-functional projects and maintain productive partnerships.
• Communicate policies clearly to non-technical audiences.
