Job summary

San Juan College seeks an Adjunct Instructor for the PTA Program at the Farmington campus. The role involves teaching day, evening, weekend, and online courses, with possibilities for hybrid work; the instructor develops materials, evaluates learners, and maintains records.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited PTA/Physical Therapy program, NM PTA license current annually, and willingness to pursue a Bachelor's degree within 3–5 years.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited PTA or Physical Therapy program is required; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred or applicant must be willing to pursue this degree and complete it in 3-5 years.
• NM state PTA board license required and must be kept current annually.
• Experience with traditional face-to-face, hybrid and online courses and ability to use San Juan College’s Learning Management System (Canvas).
• Access to home internet, a personal computer, and telephone is required.
• Willingness to learn and use multiple technology platforms to communicate with students.

Responsibilities

• Teach day, evening, weekend, and online classes, at main and/or satellite campuses as assigned.
• Develop and revise instructional materials; present material in an organized manner.
• Evaluate student learning and maintain student records.
• Maintain a minimum of 1 office hour per week per assigned course.
• Participate in Adjunct Professional Development activities; uphold school values.
