Job summary

UpLift & BetterHelp invites board-certified psychiatrists to join its remote, part-time contract role. You will conduct video consultations, diagnose and treat patients, prescribe medications when appropriate, and supervise Nurse Practitioners under collaboration agreements.

You’ll be licensed in at least one priority state with multi-state licensure preferred. Flexible scheduling and a 1099 arrangement allow care delivery from anywhere via the telemedicine platform.

Qualifications

• Board-certified Psychiatrist with active clinical experience.
• Active and unrestricted medical license in priority states: Virginia, Texas, Florida, Georgia, or North Carolina.
• Multi-state licensure strongly preferred.
• Experience supervising or collaborating with Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners is preferred.
• Comfort prescribing medication when clinically appropriate and permitted by state law.
• Skilled at using online tools and technology to deliver virtual care.
• Strong communication skills and ability to provide timely consultation support.

Responsibilities

• Conduct video consultations and communicate with patients via telemedicine.
• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients, including prescribing medication when clinically appropriate.
• Provide supervision and oversight to Nurse Practitioners (NPs) in states requiring collaborative agreements.
• Complete required chart reviews and provide timely consultation support to NPs.
• Maintain responsiveness for collaboration duties in accordance with state requirements and UpLift standards.
• Coordinate care with UpLift’s network of therapists and other providers to ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Provide empathetic, evidence-based care while upholding UpLift’s clinical and service standards.
• Share product and workflow feedback with UpLift’s engineering and operations teams to help improve care delivery.
