• Minimum: one year of emergency psychiatric assessment experience.
• Must hold a Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or psychology.
• Independent LICSW or LMHC licensure in Massachusetts is required.
• De-escalation training within 1 month of hire (MOAB).
• Experience with suicide and violence risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive behavioral health assessments in the ED.
• Stabilize crises and formulate disposition plans for patients across ages.
• Provide crisis intervention and collaborate with the emergency medicine team.
• Develop biopsychosocial case formulations and treatment planning.
• Engage in interdisciplinary consultation with psychiatry, nursing, EMS, and security.
