Job summary

Ascend Healthcare is seeking a Psychiatric Advanced Practice Provider to deliver remote psychiatric care via telemedicine to patients nationwide. Candidates must hold an active medical license in their state of residence, with at least two years of psychiatric APP experience and a DEA license.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Medical License in state of primary residence.
• 2+ years of experience as a Psychiatric Advanced Practice Provider.
• DEA License is required.
• Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.
• Comfortable working in a fully remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations for general mental health and SUD across ages.
• Manage psychopharmacology for diagnosed conditions.
• Provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) with data waivers or willingness to learn.
• Deliver supportive psychotherapy and motivational interviewing.
• Coordinate care between psychiatry, substance use treatment and medical integration.
• Support scheduled and walk-in patients in telemedicine settings.
• Complete treatment plans and rating scales for level-of-care decisions.
• Coordinate care with PCPs, pediatricians, OB/GYN, counseling, and peer staff.
