Brightli in Kansas City, MO seeks a Provisional Therapist/Therapist to join a compassionate team providing mental health services to individuals with developmental disabilities. The role emphasizes assessing, diagnosing, and formulating treatment plans to improve client well-being.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field.
• Provisional licensure as PLPC required (or higher).
• LCSW/LPC/LMFT in applicable state preferred.
• Must be able to obtain full licensure; willing to licensure in additional states.
• Comfortable providing telehealth services.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, family, and practical counseling in various settings under supervision.
• Complete intake and comprehensive assessments within designated time frames.
• Determine and document diagnoses based on assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Participate in clinical staffing meetings and provide feedback on cases.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure authorized services and accurate communication.
• Maintain documentation in accordance with state standards and correct as needed.
• Assist clients through transitions and complete required correspondence.
• Represent the agency professionally and maintain positive relationships.
• Handle crisis situations and coordinate emergency services as necessary.
• Facilitate group education, family therapy, and individual counseling, including specialized services.
