Job summary

Iowa Specialty Hospital is seeking a Payer Enrollment Specialist to manage enrollment applications, revalidations, and demographic updates across Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers. The role supports the credentialing and billing teams in a hybrid work model with possible remote work after training.

Key responsibilities include timely submissions, accurate payer data maintenance, and proactive follow-up on pending or rejected applications.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of payer enrollment processes preferred.
• Excellent communication, organizational, attention to detail, computer and telephone skills desirable.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit provider enrollment applications to Medicare, Medicaid, commercial payers, and managed care organizations accurately and timely.
• Process provider revalidations, re-enrollments, demographics updates, practice-location changes and terminations with contracted payers.
• Monitor payer enrollment applications and follow up on pending, incomplete, or rejected applications.
• Maintain accurate provider demographic, licensure, practice location, and payer participation information.
• Communicate with insurance companies, government agencies, providers, credentialing department, billing team, and internal departments.
