Job summary

Cigna Health and Life Insurance Company is seeking a Provider Contracting Director for the LifeSOURCE Transplant Network. The role leads negotiations with hospitals, transplant centers, and cellular therapy providers across the Northeast, managing a portfolio of 40–50 facilities and driving terms, volume, and network performance.

The Senior Advisor will shape reimbursement structures, renewals, and new agreements while collaborating with Medical Economics, Legal, and market teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum five years of commercial healthcare contracting and negotiation with hospitals, health systems, or large physician groups.
• Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience interpreting reimbursement models and contract performance data.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex contract negotiations with hospitals, transplant centers, physician groups, and cellular therapy providers.
• Negotiate reimbursement rates, financial terms, and contract language; manage renewals and amendments.
• Develop and implement agreements using fee-for-service, case rates, bundled payments, DRGs, and value-based arrangements.
• Manage performance and affordability targets across active contracts; analyze market data to identify opportunities.
