Job summary

RTX’s Collins Aerospace unit is seeking a Proposal Manager to drive the development of compliant, persuasive proposals, coordinating cross-functional teams to articulate capture strategy, win themes, and value propositions.

You will lead the proposal lifecycle from kickoff to post-submission activities, manage schedules and resources, and ensure high-quality documents through editing, formatting, and content reviews.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
• Experience in managing proposal development processes, including planning, execution, and post-submission phases.
• 3+ years of experience in proposal management or a similar capacity.
• Experience with Microsoft Office required, including advanced skills in Word and Excel for document formatting and publishing.
• Experience in editing and formatting complex proposal documents to ensure compliance and professional presentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the proposal lifecycle, including kickoff meetings, RFP reviews, outline development, requirements allocation, and author assignments.
• Manage proposal schedules, milestones, and resources, ensuring adherence to deadlines and high-quality standards.
• Coordinate and oversee content reviews to ensure compliance, consistency, and alignment with win strategies.
• Edit and format proposal documents, ensuring clarity, cohesion, and professional presentation.
• Facilitate milestone reviews and collaborate with CTLs and SMEs to refine proposal themes and strategies.
• Support post-submission activities, such as clarification questions, oral presentations, and after-action reviews.
• Ensure continuity across proposal deliverables incorporating win strategies and customer requirements.
• Utilize MS Office and proposal management software to produce high-quality deliverables.
