Job summary

Virginia Farm Bureau Family of Companies seeks a customer-focused Property Field Claims Representative to handle property damage and liability claims with efficient settlements following company procedures.

The PFCR role is remote with travel to assigned Virginia territories, including Western Virginia. Primary duties include investigating losses, preparing estimates, communicating with insureds and contractors, and guiding junior staff; levels vary by experience and expertise.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent work experience is required.
• Experience in property claims, insurance, construction, restoration or estimating.
• Proficiency with Xactimate and understanding of building construction.

Responsibilities

• Investigate all losses assigned for Virginia Farm Bureau members.
• Comply with company policies and procedures in the handling of all losses and other company matters.
• Report all activity on all claim files to the company promptly.
• Evaluate and Estimate claims using photos, measurements, estimating platforms, and other available resources.
• Promptly reply to all complaints as requested.
• Advise Underwriting Department on all poor risks.
• Assist and give guidance to other claim personnel as requested.
• All other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
