Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and five years of claims handling experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree and three years of claims handling experience; substitutions allowed.

Responsibilities

• Establish contact with policyholders and claimants and manage communications.
• Investigate causes/origins of major property claims and prepare estimates.
• Evaluate liability, determine value, and negotiate settlements with contractors.
• Develop scope of work and cost of repair with involved parties; maintain reserves.
• Coordinate Catastrophe Team activities and train field office staff as needed.
