Qualifications

• Minimum educational and experience requirements: HS Diploma or GED with 2 years claims handling experience, or ERIE sponsored formal education, or Bachelor’s Degree.
• Willingness to pursue and obtain required licenses; valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Contacts policyholders regarding property claims; conducts investigations, interviews insureds and witnesses, inspects damage and prepares estimates.
• Evaluates information to determine coverage and total value of claim; determines payments and issues checks as required.
• Documents claim files and submits final reports for closure; identifies subrogation possibilities and initiates action.
• Travels within assigned territory to conduct property inspections; participates in catastrophe duty as needed.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree required.
