Job summary

Erie Insurance Group in Indiana is seeking a remote Property Damage Adjuster to handle a wide range of property claims from home-based setup. You will conduct investigations, prepare estimates, determine coverage, and negotiate settlements within your assigned territory, with travel as needed and a company car provided.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED with five years of claims experience or a Bachelor's with two years of claims handling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with five years of claims handling experience, or a Bachelor's Degree with two years of claims handling experience.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain required licenses.

Responsibilities

• Conducts investigations, interviews, and inspects damage; drives to site within territory.
• Prepares estimates, determines coverage and claim value, negotiates with attorneys when needed.
• Documents claim files and submits reports for closure.
• Recognizes subrogation situations and initiates appropriate action.
• Serves assigned territory and brings claims to conclusion.
• Interacts with agents and district sales managers on mutual matters.
• Assists claims supervisor or acts on their behalf, including court appearances as required.
• Completes industry training and participates in Catastrophe Team when required.
