Job summary

Erie Insurance is seeking a remote claims adjuster in Indiana to handle independent property claims across a designated territory. The role emphasizes investigations, negotiation, and closure of claims with strong time management and organization skills.

Ideal candidates will have a background in property damage claims, a valid driver's license, and readiness to travel within the territory as needed. A company car and home office equipment are provided to support remote work.

Qualifications

• Five years of claims handling experience (or equivalent) as a requirement.
• Bachelor’s Degree with two years of claims handling experience or equivalent.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations, interviews, and inspect damage within assigned territory.
• Set reserves, review reports, determine coverage and claim value, and negotiate with attorneys.
• Document claim files and prepare closure reports.
• Recognize subrogation scenarios and take appropriate action.
• Service assigned territory and bring claims to conclusion.
• Coordinate with agents and district sales managers on mutual matters.
• Assist supervisor or represent the company in legal proceedings as required.
