Job summary

National General is seeking a Property Field Adjuster to support the Kane and Cook County, Illinois territory. The Outside Property Consultant II investigates facts of loss for advanced homeowner claims, determines coverage, and negotiates settlements within authority.

You will handle a variety of property claims, including water-related losses and roof claims, and provide comprehensive damage estimates to guide proper disposition.

Qualifications

• Content knowledge of all policy types written by the company.
• Strong estimating fundamentals to create or audit damages on complex homeowners losses.
• Builds mastered relationships with internal and external customers across multiple lines.
• Evaluates settlement options by reviewing regulatory compliance and fair claims practices.
• Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments, and documents activities in complex files across multiple lines.

Responsibilities

• Possesses a deep understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company.
• Possesses strong estimating fundamentals in order to create or audit estimates of damages on first party homeowner losses with complexity.
• Builds mastered relationships with both internal and external customers across multiple lines.
• Evaluates settlement alternatives by reviewing regulatory compliance and fair claims practices and makes decisions on best option.
• Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the most complex of files across multiple lines.
