Job summary

Allstate is seeking a Field Property Adjuster who travels to customers’ homes to inspect, assess coverage, and prepare settlements. You will handle virtual claims nationwide using Xactimate and ClaimsX Video Collaboration, ensuring prompt and fair resolutions.

The role emphasizes empathy, clear communication, and independent work while meeting schedule demands and safety standards. Remote work with extensive travel is expected.

Qualifications

• This field position requires up to 90% travel out of town.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Able to carry a 50-pound ladder and access up to a 6/12 pitch on a one to two-story roof.
• Must reside within a reasonable distance of a major airport to support travel requirements.
• 2+ years of experience preparing property estimates
• Prior experience as a Property Adjuster
• Proficiency with estimating software, such as Xactimate
• Strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
• Proactive problem-solving skills with a positive, solution-oriented mindset
• Strong organizational skills with multitasking
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Travel to customers’ homes to conduct on-site inspections and settle claims.
• Handle virtual claims countrywide using Xactimate and ClaimsX Video Collaboration.
• Investigate coverage and prepare estimates.
• Negotiate settlements with customers, vendors, third party carriers and claimants.
• Document claim activity accurately in the claims system.
• Provide exceptional service and communicate with customers via preferred channels.
