Job summary

Greystar is offering a Summer Internship in Property Accounting. You’ll perform full-cycle accounting tasks for a set of properties, review financials, prepare journal entries, reconcile banks, and apply accounting controls.

The 10-week program includes hands-on projects across Investment, Finance, Marketing, IT, Data, Leasing, Development, or Operations, with mentorship and networking, and ends with a Final Capstone Project presentation.

Qualifications

• Curiosity and a desire to learn.
• Quantitative background demonstrating analytical abilities.
• Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to articulate complex topics.
• High standard of accuracy, attention to detail, and meeting deadlines.
• Preferred major: Accounting, Finance, or related degree.
• Graduating between December 2026 and May 2027.

Responsibilities

• Learn the line of business, day-to-day team responsibilities, and how it functions within Greystar's real estate business.
• Complete in-house training programs for applications and techniques.
• Assist in monitoring and analyzing monthly operating results and financial reports.
• Support development of financial outlooks and forecasts.
• Help prepare financial reports and presentations for internal use.
• Assist in annual budgeting by gathering and organizing data.
• Collaborate with teams to provide financial insights and support.
• Support other projects to gain exposure to financial planning aspects.
• Build relationships with Greystar teams to reach shared goals.
