Job summary

Greystar is offering a Property Accounting Intern role to gain hands-on experience with full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of properties. You will review financial statements, prepare journal entries, handle bank reconciliations, and apply accounting controls.

You’ll participate in in-house training, assist with monthly results, budgets, and financial reports, and collaborate across teams to provide insights.

Qualifications

• Curiosity and a desire to learn
• Quantitative background with analytical/problem-solving abilities
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High accuracy, attention to detail, and meeting deadlines
• Preferred: Accounting, Finance, or related degree
• Graduating between December 2026 and May 2027

Responsibilities

• Learn line of business and team responsibilities within real estate finance
• Complete in-house training programs for applications and techniques
• Assist in monitoring and analyzing monthly operating results and financial reports
• Support development of financial outlooks and forecasts
• Help prepare financial reports and presentations for internal use
• Assist in annual budgeting by gathering and organizing data
• Collaborate with teams to provide financial insights and support
• Support other projects to gain exposure to financial planning
