Job summary

Syneos Health is seeking a meticulous editor/proofreader to support Senior Editors across multiple projects. You’ll ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to style guides, including AMA, and you’ll work on digital and print materials with tight deadlines.

You’ll review content across formats, manage references, and verify layouts against approved proofs, while adapting to new tools and workflows in a remote, U.S.-based role.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years editing or proofreading content across multiple formats.
• Proficiency with editing tools such as Track Changes and PDF markup.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field preferred.
• Strong command of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Proofread a variety of materials including slides, websites, newsletters, and brochures.
• Ensure correct grammar, spelling, and style per AMA and client guides.
• Maintain brand-specific style consistency across projects.
• Verify references are accurately listed and ordered.
• Perform side-by-side comparisons to ensure accuracy.
• Confirm production files, proofs, and staging match approved layouts.
• Apply strong attention to detail across copy, layout, and images.
• Work within digital staging environments, CMS platforms, and basic web QA.
