Job summary

Syneos Health is seeking a Principal/Senior Medical Editor for Regulatory Documents with copy editing and QC responsibilities. This remote-based NA/Canada role supports FDA/EU guidelines and complex medical writing projects across the globe.

You will lead editorial processes, ensure on-time delivery, mentor staff, and collaborate with medical writers and study teams to uphold high editorial standards.

Qualifications

• Maintains familiarity with FDA, EU, and other relevant guidelines and standards to ensure documents meet regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Represents the editorial group in medical writing, on study teams, and in cross-departmental project teams as needed.
• Monitors timelines and budgets for assigned projects and updates leadership if deliverables are at risk.
• Provides training and mentorship to medical editing staff and guides others on quality review and editorial standards.
• Serves as project lead for complex medical writing deliverables, coordinating meetings and information distribution.
• Copyedits assigned documents following AMA style and internal guidelines; performs quality reviews for accuracy.
