Job summary

Samuel Knight Energy is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead utility-scale solar projects across the United States. You will own day-to-day commercial and operational management from NTP through COD, coordinating field operations, engineering, procurement and subcontractors to deliver safely, on time and within budget.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong risk management and the ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in construction/project delivery with direct PM experience on large-scale projects.
• Experience delivering utility-scale solar PV projects for an EPC contractor.
• Experience managing projects through construction and commissioning to COD and final completion.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, cost-to-complete and change management skills.
• Experience coordinating engineering, procurement and field construction activities.
• Understanding of scheduling and critical-path management.
• Willingness to work on project sites and travel/relocate as required.

Responsibilities

• Manage utility-scale solar projects through procurement, construction, commissioning, COD and closeout.
• Develop and maintain project execution plans, schedules, budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor progress against milestones and take corrective action as needed.
• Coordinate with site leadership, CM, subcontractors and field teams.
• Oversee budgets, cost-to-complete forecasts, cash flow and financial performance.
• Review change orders, subcontractor changes and commercial risks.
• Coordinate with engineering and procurement to support construction schedules.
• Monitor delivery of major equipment and adherence to schedule.
