Job summary

Olsson, a team-based engineering and design firm, seeks a Project Manager for the Railroad Bridge team. You will lead diverse project teams, manage scopes, schedules, and budgets, and ensure successful, high-quality delivery for complex railroad projects across the United States.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in railroad project management, strong client service and communication skills, and a PE license is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent exp with Associate Degree)
• Minimum of 6 years of railroad project experience (CSX/CPKC)
• Proven track record in meeting/exceeding client expectations
• Strong client service, communication, and presentation skills
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and negotiation abilities
• Understanding of consulting business operations and leadership role
• PE license preferred
• Experience with Microstation, Risa 3D, and Bluebeam Revu
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Willingness to travel and flexible schedule

Responsibilities

• Develops project scopes, schedules, and budgets and tracks progress
• Leads complex project negotiations
• Manages project teams and coordinates resources
• Acts as primary liaison between all project parties
• Monitors progress, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget alignment
• Manages change requests and risk to minimize financial impact
• Ensures high-quality technical work and contract compliance
• Maintains client relationships to secure future work
• Mentors staff on Olsson Project Management practices
• Ensures safety standards compliance
