Job summary

Ayr Energy, Inc. designs and manufactures critical power grid equipment including high- and medium-voltage transformers and substation gear.

The Project Manager will lead complex projects from contract award through commissioning, coordinating diverse teams and ensuring safety, schedule, and budget adherence. The role requires collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, finance, and field service, with travel to the US Headquarters in Mountain View as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of project management experience within power transmission, power distribution, transformer manufacturing, or electrical equipment industries.
• PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.
• Experience managing large-scale capital equipment or EPC projects.
• Strong understanding of high-voltage transformers, substations, switchgear, circuit breakers and utility infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary customer point of contact throughout the project lifecycle; ensure timely communication and issue resolution.
• Lead end-to-end project execution for power transformers, distribution transformers, special-purpose transformers, and related grid equipment.
• Develop and manage schedules, budgets, resource plans, risk registers, and execution strategies.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, procurement, logistics, quality, testing, and field service.
• Monitor milestones and mitigate risks impacting cost, quality, or delivery schedules.
• Manage scope changes, contract variations, and customer modifications while maintaining profitability.
• Facilitate design reviews, production planning, status reviews, and third-party audits.
• Collaborate with teams in multiple regions to ensure on-time delivery.
• Coordinate transportation, site activities, installation support, commissioning, and closeout documentation.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, customer specs, safety and quality management systems.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance execution efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Prepare and present project performance reports to customers, management, and stakeholders.
