Job summary

MPI is partnering with a well-established construction management firm to hire a Project Manager for a federal healthcare project at a VA Hospital in Northampton, MA. This remote-first role is ideal for an early-career PM eager to gain government contracting experience while enjoying flexible work arrangements.

You will manage all project phases, coordinate schedules and budgets, and ensure compliance with VA and federal requirements.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of PM experience in commercial or federal construction
• Experience with ground-up or renovation projects
• Prior federal, government, healthcare, VA, or military project experience preferred
• Strong understanding of construction documentation, scheduling, and project controls
• Ability to effectively manage multiple stakeholders and maintain client relationships
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Comfortable traveling to project sites approximately once per week
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
• Coordinate project schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and client communications
• Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with contract requirements
• Review RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
• Collaborate with field teams, superintendents, owners, and subcontractors
• Maintain project reporting, forecasting, and cost tracking
• Ensure adherence to federal, VA, and project-specific compliance standards
• Support problem-solving efforts to keep projects on schedule and within budget
