Loyal Source Government Services is seeking a Project Designer 2 for remote-based work, supporting a government security design team. The role emphasizes design management, collaboration with customers and offshore teams, and cost control rather than routine drafting.

Strong AutoCAD and coordination skills are essential. The position involves ensuring high-quality deliverables across access control, CCTV, intrusion, and intercom systems while maintaining schedule and budget constraints.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of electronic security design, engineering, project management, or field service.
• Minimum of 3 years of AutoCAD experience.
• Experience with security systems such as Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion, Intercom, and related technologies.
• Strong project coordination and customer-facing experience.
• Experience managing project costs, budgets, and purchase orders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the electronic security design process for moderate to high-complexity projects.
• Collaborate with customers, project managers, sales teams, and engineering teams to develop complete design packages.
• Serve as the liaison between customers and offshore APAC design team to translate requirements into deliverables.
• Review scope, requirements, and specifications to ensure successful execution.
• Manage project costs, purchase orders, schedules, and milestones.
• Track status and maintain documentation throughout the lifecycle.
• Communicate progress, scope changes, and risks to stakeholders.
• Participate in turnover, design review, and coordination meetings.
