You will guide a mix of direct reports and matrixed personnel to achieve time, budget, and quality targets. You will leverage DoD contracting knowledge and SAFe/Agile practices, coordinating with Contracts, Supply Chain, Security, and Finance to optimize revenue, margin, and customer value while mentoring the PM

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or technology field.
  • 8+ years in services project leadership.
  • 2+ years in PLM or equivalent tech delivery leadership.
  • Experience with Agile & SAFe for software projects.
  • Experience with DoD contracts and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Services PM team and drive growth across the portfolio.
  • Build high-value relationships with PM team members and stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects meet defined scope within time, budget, and quality goals.
  • Support revenue and margin generation across the project portfolio.

Siemens Government Technologies (SGT) is a dynamic and rapidly growing organization seeking a self-driven individual to be a leader in our rapidly growing Services team. The Project Delivery Manager will work under minimal supervision to lead the collective Project Management team comprised of both direct reports and matrix team members to deliver the highest quality and customer value.

Responsibilities
  • Cultivate the growth and capability of the SGT Services Project Management team.
  • Build high value business relationships with the Project Management team members and other key internal organization stakeholders.
  • Use US Government business acumen to ensure that the defined projects scope can be delivered within time, budget, and quality goals.
  • Facilitates and supports the successful generation of revenue and margin against financial goals derived across the project portfolio.
  • Engages proactively and effectively with internal support organizations such as Contracts, Supply Chain, Security and Finance.
  • Supports the monthly financial project reporting and forecasting activities with the highest quality accuracy.
  • Ensures access and alignment to the Project Management best practices and tools within the Siemens Digital Solutions businesses.
  • Contributes and supports business planning and process improvements to accomplish the goals of SGT.
  • Monitors, addresses, and escalates risk issues within the project portfolio.
  • Provides direction in Services coverage and capacity resource planning and alignment with the Services delivery teams and Customers.
  • Regularly assess the learning needs of the Project Management team and escalates needs for growth investments.
  • Oversee the mentoring plans, activities and ensure successes across the Project Management team.
  • Regularly communicates with various levels of the Siemens teams including executive level messages.
  • Perform on-going and annual performance reviews and growth plans.
  • Represent the Digital Solutions Services project delivery business in the prep for and support of ISO process audits.
  • Identifies and conveys the initial project risks including their assumptions, mitigations, and dependencies for projects within the portfolio.
  • Participates as a Services leader on project Steering Committees, Technical Review Boards (TRBs) and Management Review Boards (MRBs).
  • Supports the organizational culture, values, and reputation in served market and with all staff, customers, suppliers, partners, and regulatory/official bodies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical and/or Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Science, Technology, or equivalent years of experience in Digital Industry
  • Minimum of eight years in Services project leadership position.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or equivalent technology delivery leadership.
  • A deep understanding of industry tools and best practices available for software project management.
  • Must have experience with Agile & SAFe delivery methods for software implementation projects.
  • Working knowledge of the administrative functions of the Services business including project setup, contract structure, progress reporting, revenue recognition and billing.
  • Experience with DoD projects, contracts, policies, and procedures.
  • Leadership skills and proven track record of managing Project Management activities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications with the ability to present complex issues to multi-level audiences of company and government executives.
  • Ability to effectively communicate progress, status, and issues to internal and external customers
  • Ability to obtain and meet business goals and results.
  • Ability to promote complex Project Management solutions and drive acceptance with confidence.
  • Knowledge and ability to deliver goals effectively and drive the opportunity to closure with a sense for urgency.
Travel
  • Willing and able to travel up to 25% annually as required by SGT and/or the customer pursuit/project.
Security Clearance
  • Candidate must be a United States Citizen with no dual citizenship, ties to another country, foreign passports, or visas and have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
