Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Project Cost Controls Analyst remote position with periodic site travel (up to 25%). You will deliver data-driven financial analysis, build cost forecasts, and support decision-making across solar, storage, and substation projects.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in project controls or FP&A, strong Excel, and experience with Power BI, Python, and SQL. Ability to translate complex data into executive storytelling is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related analytical field.
• 1–3 years of experience in project controls, FP&A, or data-driven roles.
• Strong Excel skills; experience with Power BI, Python, and SQL preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities; capable of translating data to business insights.
• Effective communicator who can partner with stakeholders and present findings to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain project cost forecasts with cross-functional teams.
• Develop controls over financial reporting to support SOX compliance.
• Create analytics models to forecast future costs using historical data and parameters.
• Assist with budget mapping and ensure fiscal responsibility across the department.
• Analyze variance drivers across cost, schedule, and resource usage and report findings.
• Lead cost data collection, quality audits, and executive-ready reporting decks.
