Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Project Cost Controls Analyst for a fully remote role with periodic site travel up to 25%. You will build cost forecasts, develop controls over reporting, and implement analytics models to drive proactive cost management across solar and storage projects.

The role requires a strong foundation in Excel, Power BI, and SQL, with 1–3 years in FP&A or project controls. Collaboration with project teams and leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or a related analytical field.
• 1–3 years of experience in project controls, FP&A, or data-driven roles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI, Python, and/or SQL highly preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to modeling and interpretation.
• Experience partnering with internal stakeholders to identify objectives and collaborate to achieve outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain project-level cost forecasts with cross-functional teams.
• Assist in internal controls over financial reporting to ensure SOX compliance.
• Implement analytics models to forecast future project cost from historical data.
• Maintain cost tracking and reporting systems for accurate operational reporting.
• Synthesize datasets into executive-ready decks highlighting trends and insights.
