Job summary

SOLV Energy in the United States is seeking a Project Cost Controls Analyst to deliver data-driven financial and strategic analysis that supports decision-making, performance tracking, and forecasting across projects. This role is fully remote with travel to the site periodically (up to 25%).

You will build cost forecasts, support SOX controls, develop analytics models, and prepare executive-ready decks highlighting trends, performance metrics and recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related analytical field.
• 1–3 years of experience in project controls, FP&A, or data-driven roles; proficiency in Excel; Power BI, Python, and/or SQL preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured modeling approach.
• Effective communicator who translates complex data for senior leadership; data-driven mindset.
• Strong data management and ability to build professional presentation decks.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain project-level cost forecasts; monitor cost drivers, risks, and opportunities.
• Lead monthly cost reporting; produce variance analyses and executive-ready insights.
• Assist with SOX controls documentation and compliance.
• Develop analytics models to forecast future project costs using historical data.
• Assist with budget mapping and ensure departmental fiscal accuracy.
• Analyze performance trends and identify drivers of variance in cost, schedule, and resources.
• Collaborate with project teams to gather cost data and provide trends-based insights.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Convey data-driven stories to both technical and non-technical audiences.
