Job summary

Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning (DECAL) seeks a Project Coordinator to lead a time-limited grant initiative modernizing CACFP/SFSP technology. You will coordinate internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders, tracking progress and ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements.

The role requires strong project management and communication skills; PMP certification is preferred, with prior government project experience highly valued.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in communication, English, or public relations from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of experience related to area of assignment; or one (1) year of experience required at the lower level Busi Support Analyst 1 (GSP130).
• Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Management, Public Administration, or other related fields AND four years of experience related work experience AND experience with implementing software technology, data systems and management AND two or more of the following:
• PMP certification is preferred; Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Responsibilities

• Plans, manages, and completes projects that support technology enhancements with Nutrition procurement processes and meal service operations.
• Researches and recommends software solutions that effectively support the project mission, goals and objectives.
• Partners with Nutrition Training Manager and other project team members to develop project scope and use project management skills to manage roles, deliverables, and goals.
• Monitors and tracks project schedule, budget, and scope to ensure alignment with objectives, budget, timeframes, and risks.
