Job summary

RS&H, Inc. is seeking a Project Controller II to support FP&A and project controls across multiple infrastructure projects. The role emphasizes end-to-end financial oversight, collaboration with engineers and consultants, and mentoring junior staff.

The position allows remote and hybrid work options from RS&H offices. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of relevant experience, strong Excel and Deltek skills, and a proactive, communicative mindset to drive cost savings and project efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience, preferably in the AEC industry.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and possess intermediate Excel proficiency in producing spreadsheets with data formulas, pivot tables and charts.
• Experience in Deltek ERP and SharePoint is a plus.
• Strong work ethic, self-starter and eagerness to learn.
• Must possess analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong organizational, prioritization, and oral and written communication skills.
• Must possess knowledge of financial accounting including analysis and reporting.
• Must have the ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, and other key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end project lifecycle management from setup through close-out (WBS, phases, tasks, budget allocation).
• Assist in assembling scope and fee proposals, verify labor rates, and proofreading.
• Coordinate contract and subcontract execution and amendments with proper signatures.
• Coordinate client invoicing with project management and billing staff; perform audits of rates.
• Lead subconsultant invoice process and liaise with internal teams for accuracy.
• Provide reports on project data and costs to stakeholders.
• Monitor and control project finances; conduct ongoing financial reviews for improvements.
• Facilitate project closeout including final payments and ERP data entry.
