Job summary

RS&H seeks a Project Controller II to support FP&A and project controls across transportation and CEI projects. You will manage a full lifecycle – setup, tracking, and close-out – and analyze financials for timely delivery.

The role collaborates with engineers, project managers, and consultants to optimize costs and schedules. You will mentor junior staff, coordinate client invoicing and subconsultant payments, and drive improvements while working in a flexible hybrid/remote setup from an RS&H

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in AEC/CEI or related industry.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; intermediate Excel with formulas, pivots, charts.
• Experience with Deltek ERP and SharePoint is a plus.
• Strong work ethic, self-starter, and eager to learn.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and strong communication skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with clients, customers, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end project lifecycle management from setup to close-out (WBS, budgets).
• Analyze financial metrics to support project deadlines and budgets.
• Assist in scope and fee proposals; verify labor rates, format, and proofs.
• Coordinate contract/subcontract execution and amendments with signatures.
• Coordinate client invoicing; perform audits to maximize invoiced rates.
• Lead subconsultant invoice process and liaison with internal teams.
• Support client management; open opportunities and provide project cost reports.
• Monitor and control project lifecycle; conduct financial reviews for improvements.
• Facilitate project closeout, payments, ERP data entry, and archiving.
• Mentor and resource for the project controller team.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
