Job summary

Moda Health seeks an IT Business Systems Analyst to document requirements, analyze business processes, and design functional solutions across multiple systems.

This full-time, remote role covers SDLC activities, testing, implementation, and post‑go live support, with collaboration across business and technical teams.

Candidates should have 2+ years of analysis experience, strong writing and facilitation skills, SQL familiarity, and a commitment to quality and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of analysis experience (technical or business).
• Knowledge of PC, server-based and desktop apps including spreadsheets, word-processing and email.
• Able to facilitate large and small group meetings or working sessions.
• Proven skills in critical thinking, time management, and problem solving.
• Demonstrated writing skills and ability to document results clearly.
• Ability to work effectively within a project team and with peers.
• Ability to communicate well with business and technical personnel.
• Commitment to read, write, and execute SQL statements as applicable.
• Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professional business image.
• Resilient work ethics; punctuality and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Performs requirements engineering for SDLC activities, eliciting and prioritizing functional and non-functional needs.
• Collaborates with project teams to document details and approve acceptance criteria for conversions and enhancements.
• Creates functional specs and aligns systems with Moda Company Standard Software Systems.
• Participates in stabilization efforts for existing systems and processes.
• Develops business cases, contingency plans, metrics and training materials for improvements.
• Reviews designs, data flows and conversion plans; suggests alternatives.
• Supports testing and prioritization of system enhancements and implementations.
• Writes and documents test plans and outcomes for research and analysis.
• Performs post-implementation QA and troubleshooting; documents user and business unit procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
