Job summary

Kelso Industries seeks an experienced Manager of Project Accounting to lead WIP reporting, POC accounting, and ASC 606 for a dynamic portfolio of construction projects across HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines.

You will partner with project managers, operations leaders and finance teams to improve forecasting, margin visibility, and overall project profitability, while overseeing AIA and T&M billing, change orders, and receivable activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of project accounting or construction accounting experience.
• Deep experience with WIP schedules and POC accounting.
• ASC 606 revenue recognition experience.
• Proficiency with construction ERP systems and reporting.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead WIP reporting, POC accounting, and ASC 606 for multiple construction projects.
• Partner with Project Managers to drive forecasting, margin visibility, and project financial performance.
• Oversee AIA billing, T&M billing, change orders, retainage, and AR tracking.
• Support audits, surety and bonding requirements and financial reporting needs.
• Improve project accounting processes, controls, systems and reporting capabilities.
