Job summary

IA Interior Architects is seeking a Project Accountant to oversee client project costs, billing, and close-out. The role supports our Seattle and West Coast studios, with one day per week in the Seattle office and the rest remote.

Requirements include 5–7 years of accounting or project accounting experience and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Proficiency with Deltek and MS Excel is expected.

• Bachelor’s degree in project accounting, finance or related field.
• 5–7 years of accounting or project accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Processes monthly accounting and billing activities for PMs and studios.
• Reviews preliminary invoices for labor and charges; ensures contract terms align.
• Invoicing for projects with required paperwork; collaborates with clients to resolve issues.
• Enters and posts Accounts Payables/Receivables; processes write-offs as needed.
• Posts timesheets and maintains time transfer integrity; investigates unbilled labor.
