Job summary

Health Resources in Action, Inc. (HRiA) seeks a Program Officer for Biomedical Research Grantmaking to lead the design, management, and evaluation of competitive grant programs.

You will collaborate with leadership, grant coordinators, and external stakeholders to advance health equity through biomedical research funding. The role is full-time and fully remote, offering the opportunity to travel for programmatic activities and events.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of related experience in philanthropy, development, or biomedical research.
• Master's degree preferred; PhD in biomedical research advantageous.
• Commitment to health equity and diversity in grantmaking practices.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with strong analytical skills.
• Proficiency with software tools and adaptability to new platforms.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; teamwork oriented.

Responsibilities

• Lead project management for multiple grantmaking initiatives with timelines and deliverables.
• Develop and implement grant program guidelines, evaluations, and landscape scans.
• Coordinate with awardees, reviewers, and clients to ensure quality deliverables.
• Prepare proposals, budgets, and materials for new business and projects.
• Stay current on biomedical research to inform program strategy and communications.
