Job summary

The Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, a leading nonprofit addiction recovery organization in the United States, seeks a core teaching faculty member for its CACREP-accredited online program. This remote role includes occasional trips to the Center City campus to support program delivery and student engagement.

You will teach, supervise clinical placements, advise students, and stay current in counseling education and treatment trends.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision or Counseling per CACREP requirements for core faculty.
• Minimum of one year experience in substance use counseling/treatment or prevention.
• Teaching, lecturing, and/or training in higher education, online teaching preferred.
• Competency in PC applications Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach and revise course content to ensure optimum learning outcomes.
• Provide supervision necessary to promote acquisition of student competency through clinical placements.
• Provide academic advising and coaching to promote scholastic adjustment and school performance.
• Continually seek and demonstrate knowledge in higher learning and in addiction/mental health treatment.
• Participate in all aspects of the Graduate School to promote continuous improvement of educational processes.
• Demonstrate academic leadership through expert teaching, program innovation, curriculum design and related publications.
