Job summary

The Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation is a leading nonprofit in addiction recovery education, seeking a core teaching faculty member for its CACREP-accredited online program. The role is fully remote with occasional trips to our Center City campus, focusing on educating future leaders in addiction and mental health counseling.

The position emphasizes teaching excellence, supervision of clinical placements, and ongoing curriculum development guided by educational research and program outcomes.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision or Counseling per CACREP core faculty requirements.
• Minimum of one year experience in substance use counseling/treatment or prevention.
• Online teaching experience preferred.
• Competency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach and revise course content to ensure optimum learning outcomes.
• Provide supervision necessary to promote acquisition of student competency through clinical placement experiences.
• Provide academic advising and coaching to promote scholastic success.
• Continually seek knowledge in higher education and addiction/mental health treatment to develop student expertise.
• Participate in all aspects of the Graduate School to improve educational processes.
• Demonstrate academic leadership through teaching, research, program innovation and curriculum design.
