Job summary

Balchem is seeking a Production Manager to lead the production department, ensuring safety, quality, and efficient day-to-day operations across encapsulation processes. The role requires coaching staff and making key operational decisions as a back-up to the Plant Manager.

You will manage schedules, drive continuous improvement, collaborate with R&D on scale-up and trials, and ensure compliance with SOPs, GMPs, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of direct supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing concepts and 5S.
• Strong communication and coaching skills; able to lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead production department, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity.
• Manage production schedule and adherence to SOPs and GMPs.
• Coach and develop staff; conduct performance evaluations.
• Drive continuous improvement and waste elimination.
• Collaborate with R&D on scale-up and trials; lead production runs when at plant.
• Back-up to Plant Manager as needed.
