Job summary

Balchem is seeking a Production Manager for the Sleepy Eye Plant to guide all production activities and ensure adherence to the Production Schedule, SOPs, Good Manufacturing Practices, and regulatory standards. The role requires strong communication, coaching, and leadership to support operations and drive safe, efficient production.

Responsibilities include staffing planning, maintenance coordination, and continuous improvement to maximize throughput.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or 5–10 years of experience in plant operations.
• 3–5 years supervising and coaching staff.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel/Word).

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety policies and promote the site safety culture.
• Ensure safety of personnel and property; inspect hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor safety, quality, cost, and efficiency; drive continuous improvement and key metrics.
• Coordinate production schedules and staffing to maximize efficiency and throughput.
• Provide coaching and act as back-up to Site Leader; support operations in achieving standards.
