Job summary

Cohere is seeking a Product & Technology Communications Manager to shape how our AI products are described and perceived. In this cross-functional, individual-contributor role, you'll partner with product, research, engineering, and go-to-market teams to translate complex technology into clear, compelling stories for customers and media.

You will lead launches, craft messaging frameworks, FAQs, and talking points, guide crisis communications, and help elevate Cohere's technical leadership.

Qualifications

• Have 5-7 years of experience in product and technology communications or technical content in AI or enterprise software.
• Exceptional writing with the ability to simplify complex topics without losing nuance.
• Experience partnering with product and engineering leaders and acting as a trusted advisor.
• Understand enterprise AI, ML, or developer ecosystems and want to go deeper.
• Strong organizational skills and detail orientation with solid PM capability.
• Comfort navigating ambiguity in fast-moving, high-growth environments.
• Experience with product launches, technical content development, or developer-focused communications.
• Build cross-functional relationships to drive clarity, consistency, and alignment across teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop product and technology communications strategies that support business goals and product roadmap.
• Partner with product, engineering, research, and modeling leaders to craft messaging and materials.
• Lead communications around product launches, including messaging frameworks, FAQs, press materials, and talking points.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling content for customers, partners, analysts, and media.
• Collaborate with corporate comms to drive proactive storytelling and elevate technical leadership.
• Work with marketing to ensure consistency across product marketing, developer content, and external communications.
• Support thought leadership for product, research, and modeling executives.
• Use qualitative and quantitative insights to refine messaging and audience resonance.
• Prepare and support crisis and issues communications related to product, security, or technical incidents.
